I purchased this product in mid March 2019 and another one in May 2020 under the advice of my coworker who purchased one from Amazon. I do have a rotten egg smell and my heater also burns through anodes every 6 months since our water softener serves 8 people in our home and I have 2 50 gallon AO smith tanks and the softner cycles every day. I asked my plumber to install it and was surprised he never heard of them. The installation was easy and the instructions were clear according to him. When he plugged the power in the red led flashed for about 6 seconds then turned green but blinked real quick. I contacted Matt at Water Tank Tec and was told the red light was normal since the power input was adjusting and the green light would always flicker when it was done and it does. When my second unit was installed I had my plumber flush the older tank and the water was clear with no sediment or color. I am very pleased with this product.
