I dont have a problem with hot water odor but do have a problem with changing anodes every 8 months since due to my water source. I installed this product 4 years ago and have recently purchased 2 more units for my rentals that are 25 miles from my current water table. I flush my tank every year and have no little to no sediment anymore. The green light stays lit and I have little to no odor. Very pleased and I want to thank Matt for helping me through a dificult installation on my new rental units. I would whole heart recomend!
