Hi Matt. I purchased your product in October 2021 for my cottage home. I had purchased a corro system from Candada in August and it leaked and ruined my tank. I went back to the aluminum rod figuring this was snake oil. I decided to take the plunge after reading your website. Your product to this day is sending 2.78 volts into my 50 gallon AO tank which tells me it works as advertised. I bought a second unit for a 30 gallon tank. It read 1.6 volts so I switched them and got the same voltage output 24 hours later which tells me your product description is correct that is does actually take the electrical potential of the tank and adjusts accordingly. I will recommend your product. Thank you very much Matt. Jim & Kit Retired 2nd Lieutenant United States Army.
hey matt. i installed your product about a month 1/2 ago and it works as described. we're very happy with the results. our old home place farm house well was drilled in 1972. have been trying to get the water more useable for a couple of years. surface water problems got cured when i dropped 60 ft 4 inch pvc casing in with a jaswell seal. that got it cleared up (thanks to helpful advice from a driller that i got to meet) . hot water tank would get that odor after sitting a day or 2. metal bacteria i think. i tried an aluminum rod that helped some. went back to a mag. rod and it got really rank. researched and found these products. had never heard of them, neither had any plumbers i talked to. easy put in with the supplied instructions and parts. the only thing that confused me just a bit was the wire colors not exactly blue and brown and that little protector straw on the rod. common sense finally ruled and no way was it going to work with that on there...duuhh! got rid of that smell. take that old nasty self destructing rod out and replace with one of these if you have this problem. thanks very much. roland terry. electrician and former electrical inspector. bahama, nc.
Works in my ranch, thanks.
We own several rentals in Ball State. 27th purchase. Over the years my tank replacement has gone to zero.
Very pleased with the results of this product.
I purchase around 10 of these units a month for my company. One customer stated the led on the power unit was very dim and figuring it failed I contacted Matt. Long story short, the unit was sending 2.76 volts to the rod so it was working. Matt sent me a new led with simple instructions on how to change it out. It took maybe 10 minutes to replace the bulb which was visible again.
The power supply is very complexed and I like that, the led was a simple plug and play and took less than 15 minutes since I had never done this but the led was bright again.
I am very pleased with the customer response. I emailed Matt on a Saturday evening and had the new bulb arrived the following Tuesday. Thank you Matt
I buy 20 a month. Good product.
I had an issue with the red light on the box. contactd matt and found out the ground wire was not tight. I was too tired to check everything do to my working hours. I would buy this man dinner at the finest steak house for his product and emails. it only took 3 minutes to figure this out and getting it working. Thank you.
It works as said.
Works as described in my AO Smith tank. I would recomend.
We buy around 10 to 20 units every month and have for the past 8 years. If there is ever an issue question, Matt responds.
I upsell this product with all my plumbing jobs in new tanks only. Never had any issues for the last 7 years.
We moved into a rual home and had horrific smelling hot water odor. We have a 40 gallon AO smith unit. I found this product and decided to give it a try. My husband and his brother help him remove what they called the 'stink rod' and installed it. The instructions were clear and well written. My husband followed the recomendation of flushing our tank, turning up the thermostat to 140 overnight then back down the next day. It has been around 1 month and there is no odor at all. We are very pleased.
I moved into a brand new house with a well, whole house R.O. ,softener and chlorine injection. We had sulfur smell even with top of the line purification equipment. After several weeks of trying to make adjustments to the system with no relief, we narrowed it down to the hot water. We have a Rheem Classic Plus Professional water heater. The specs show it having a magnesium anode rod. After doing a little homework, I found waterodor.com and with the reviews I decided to try it. The directions are very easy to follow and it was not hard to install. The toughest part is getting the old anode rod out but it came out quite easily with a battery powered impact wrench to just loosen it. There's an outlet next to the water heater so it was easy to connect to a power source. I did not flush the heater, but I did turn the temperature up to 140 degrees overnight before I installed the new rod. Within a day of use, the smell was gone. It's been in two months now and we haven't had a sulfur smell problem since. My neighbor had the same problem and has the same water heater. He changed the anode rod to an aluminum anode and says the sulfur smell had stopped, but he will have to replace it eventually.
I am incredibly happy with this product. We use them for our rental properties, God Bless
Did not do any good on my tank. Tank started leaking 2 days after I installed it from the bottom. I bought the corro product brand and it sealed my leaks. I now have a brand new water tank with no smell.
I was skeptical about this product since I had purchased a different brand on amazon which did nothing but trash my water tank by leaks. I was moving anyway and the tank was old so not a real loss.
I offer this review 60 days from my purchase. I am pleased so far and will purchase other for my rentals. Your website has a lot of good information and I appriciate that. I will say that your claim of monitors the tank is correct. After my softner cycled, the voltage lowered, 2 days later it went back up since my unit cycles every 3 days.
Thank you Matt
I followed the recommendations to crank up the tank temperature to kill bacteria. Drained off maybe 5 gallons to install the new anode. Installation was simple following some of the photos and info from the website. Big plus is to have an impact gun, no need to wrestle with the tank and breaker bar. So far water has no odor but to be honest I’m not sure if it is from the anode or the bacteria kill. If it comes back I will follow up.
This product does work as described. Purchased from Amazon May 29th and had it 3 days later. I was going to give it some time before a review. As of this date June 25th, I am very pleased. I would recomend. Thank You Matt! Jim and Becky!! :)
I have been buying this product for 2 years. I had 2 complaints of a red led in June. Contacted Matt, found out it was a bad led on the power supply. 4 days later I had the replacement boxes. This type of customer service is solid.
